What is your response to the petition?

Very keen to see greyhound racing banned in Wales. It's a barbaric outdated sport.

From a dog welfare perspective, what impact would a ban on greyhound racing in Wales have?

It would mean zero injuries or deaths for greyhounds. To continue with regulations means more injuries and deaths but a ban takes that number to zero.

What other impacts – social, economic, etc – might it have?

One race course in Wales would mean minimal impact to other areas including any plans Caerphilly LA have to use it as a tourist attraction.

Are there actions short of an outright ban on greyhound racing, eg regulation, which would make a difference?

No.
